Created To Change Our World
The Vision
To inspire people to step away from their busy, distracted, stress-filled life, stop time, sit down… and take a moment to think about what matters to them most in support of their own mental health and wellness.
To create more opportunities for mental health conversations and help those who want support for themselves, loved ones, friends and co-workers find vetted resources and ask for them in that emotionally open moment.

How It Came To Life
A Conversation With Myself was created as part of a Group Show themed Isolation for Scotiabank CONTACT 2018 Photography Festival, the world’s largest photography festival. I presented images and the installation to reflect how “isolation can be a good thing”. The space is a metaphor for being inside your own head and thoughts.
It uses my photography combined with keywords, a welcoming 9.5 ft. round space with muted lighting and an opaque 8 ft. ceiling to set the stage for self-reflection; creating a feeling of positive isolation away from the stress and anxieties of life that helps people reconnect with themselves.
Inside the installation, there's a bench and a table with a book and pen. Everyone is invited to share their thoughts and feelings and read what others have written. It uses the power of writing intentions/ thoughts and shared experiences to help solidify each person's insights and feel more connected to others.
This installation is also a conversation catalyst for reducing stress and rediscovering purpose by creating a safe space to explore and become open to seek out available mental health and wellness supports and destigmatizing mental health lived experiences overall.
Requests for pop-ups and permanent placements of A Conversation With Myself are now coming from across N. America and beyond.
